MFS has an immediate opening for a Nuclear Medicine Theragnostic Clinical RN for its local healthcare client in Palo Alto, California. Job Details:
- Shifts Available: Days- 10 hours. 40 hours/week
- Hours/Days: 7am 5pm; Monday - Friday
- On Call: No
- How many open positions: 1 position
- Length of contract: 6 months
- Target Start Date: 2/26/23
- Work Location: Onsite; Palo Alto, CA
Under the general supervision of the Radiology Patient Care Manager or designee and the Theragnostics APP, the Clinical Nurse works closely with the assigned Radiologist and Technologists to provide hands-on care to patients of all ages, before, during and after Nuclear Medicine procedures and imaging. Within that role, the Clinical Nurse performs all steps of the nursing process including assessing patients, interpreting data, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, coordinating care with other providers, and teaching the patient and family how to manage their aftercare to prevent complications. The Clinical Nurse partners with the patients family wherever possible, considering all aspects of care, to deliver family centered care. The Clinical Nurse monitors the quality of nursing care provided. Theragnostics Clinic is part of the nuclear medicine department and the RN may also support the Nuclear Medicine department with medication administration, port access, cardiac stress testing, and other nursing duties. Requirements
Education
- Bachelor s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution. (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
Experience
- Able to communicate effectively in English.
- One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
