We ve got an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a dynamic and highly successful team. This hire is adding bench strength to a production department that is in very good order. You ll be joining an organization that has a great record of reinvesting into its facilities and people.

Shift: First (7-4 or 8-5)

Location: Hibbing, MN

Base Salary: $70-80K


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for health and safety of all team members.
  • Perform a variety of engineering assignments in developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, tooling and related matters.
  • Monitor assigned operations to assure compliance with current project schedule and approved methods of quality standards.
  • Recommend design modifications or process changes where justifiable by cost/design studies to permit manufacture by the most favorable method.
  • Work with assigned customer accounts on product and tooling designs. Procure production tools and work with existing products to optimize efficiencies such as scrap, yield, molding rates, etc.
  • Investigate and assist in corrective/preventative actions for reported concerns.
  • Establish and maintain customer files, including engineering standards, blueprints and other associated materials and information.
  • Coordinate activities with pattern shop.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge, skill and ability in the area of engineering related computer systems/capabilities (CAD, CAE, Pro-E, etc.)
  • Knowledge of 2-D CAD/CAM system.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Ability to understand and implement APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Control Plans.
  • Ability to use advanced engineering techniques for problem resolution (FMEA, designed experiment, etc.).
  • Proficient knowledge of PC software applications including Word, Excel, 4D, Docushare and mainframe software (e.g. Blis-400).
  • Ability to prepare jobs for running on Magma simulation technology.
  • Ability to utilize 8D problem solving methodology.
  • Proficient project and time management skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills for presentation and technical report writing.
