Stay up to date on industry trends, legislation and developments in food technology.
Conduct shelf life studies and develop suitable packaging solutions for the product.
Collaborate with suppliers to obtain high quality components and materials.
Solve technical problems related to the development and production of food products.
Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Create and maintain accurate documentation of experiments, procedures, and results.
Train and mentor junior food technicians and provide guidance on best practices.
Required profile of candidates
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
At least 3-5 years of experience in food product development and formulation.
Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology and processing techniques.
Familiarity with industry legislation and quality standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP).
Experience in sensory evaluation and consumer testing methods.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
A master of detail and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
A passion for food innovation and staying up to date on industry trends.
