Fiat Currency Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Legal Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing traditional fiat currency operations including antimoney laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements.
  
• Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulations affecting legal currency operations in the crypto industry.
  

Operational Oversight:

• Oversee the daytoday legal currency operations ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address operational challenges and enhance workflows
  

Regulatory Liaison:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and agencies related to legal currency operations.
  
• Coordinate and manage regulatory examinations and inquiries.
  

Policy Development:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in legal currency operations.
  
• Provide guidance on adherence to internal policies.
  

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess legal and operational risks associated with legal currency activities.
  
• Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
  

Collaboration with Legal Team:

• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure alignment between legal currency operations and overall legal strategies.
  
• Provide legal insights on currencyrelated matters.
  

Reporting:

• Prepare and present regular reports on legal currency operations compliance metrics and key performance indicators to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  

Vendor and Partner Management:

• Oversee relationships with vendors and partners involved in legal currency operations.
  
• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
  

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in legal roles with a focus on financial services or currency operations.
  
• Indepth knowledge of laws and regulations related to fiat currency operations AML and KYC.
  
• Strong understanding of the crypto industry and its legal landscape.
  
• Excellent analytical communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proven leadership experience in legal and operational roles.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
