Estimation Manager Metal Fabrication

As Estimating Manager (Manufacturing), you will be responsible for managing the estimating department, preparing proposals and monitoring MRP documentation. You will be expected to provide continuous improvement to the estimating organization by benchmarking with industry and maintaining links with industry suppliers. You will also be responsible for ensuring estimates are realistic and based on industry standard units of measurement, with transparency to achieve competitive project performance. Other responsibilities include: Study and understand contract documents for each project. Prepare metal fabrication estimates including detailed documentation of line item manufacturing costs, production tools, verification tools, value engineering evaluation, and cost minimization strategies. Provide technical estimating support to each of the estimating team members. Management of the Appraisals Team: Maintaining skills matrix to ensure team competency, leadership in performance appraisal and development plans for each member. Develop relationships with key local and international suppliers, and obtain project cost quotes for metal fabrication. Maintain a live bidding system that ensures bidding is delivered on time. Highlight any red flags and proactively collaborate with the sales team. Online and face-to-face meetings with customers and suppliers when needed. Very active and positive to continue appreciations
