Position Description:
IDG is currently seeking a Kubernetes Expert to serve on the USAID Marketlinks Marketlinks ( ) is an online global community for market systems development supported by USAID s Center for Economics and Market Development in the Bureau for Development, Democracy and Innovation (DDI/EMD). The online platform serves as a repository of good practices in market systems development, shared and consumed by a global community of practitioners across a spectrum of topics, including pathways out of poverty to mobilizing private capital, market facilitation to models for reaching In addition to sharing strategies and best practices, the platform also hosts periodic online knowledge-sharing events on specific topics that are of wide interest to the Marketlinks
The platform allows registered users to:
Contribute relevant publications, events, news, and/or opportunities;
Register for Marketlinks events, providing a calendar-view of Marketlinks events;
Follow pertinent blog posts;
Explore USAID-vetted good practices; and
Connect with the broader Marketlinks
The Kubernetes Expert will utilize their technical expertise to maintain and effectively utilize the Kubernetes system as necessary to successfully implement the Marketlinks
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure AWS infrastructure The site has a load balancer, file storage, dedicated DB server, and some EC2 instances (all managed with Kubernetes).
Upgrade Kubernetes as new versions come

Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience with Kubernetes, preferably with Ubuntu/LAMP/LEMP stack
