• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, devices, tools and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose faults and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, devices and tools to determine the cause of the fault and correct the problem.
• Connecting wires to circuit switches, transformers, or other electrical components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with conditions.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be dangerous.
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity in electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and lamps, using testing devices such as ohmmeter, voltmeter, and oscilloscope to ensure compatibility and system integrity.
• Plan the arrangement and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and appliances based on job specifications and local codes.
• Installing ground wires and connecting power cables to equipment such as motors.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment and appliances, using hand tools and power tools.
• Place conduits (pipes or tubes) inside partitions, designated walls, or other hidden areas and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduits to complete circuits between boxes.
• Providing assistance during emergency situations by operating floodlights and generators, placing torchlights and driving required vehicles.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Electricity preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is desired but not required.
• Certification(s) from technical institutions such as ITI, TESDA, etc.
• Good command of the English language, spoken and written.
• Minimum of three years of technical operations and maintenance functions in the MEP field in a large FM organization or building management field.
