ITP Media Group reaches an audience of more than 104.6 million people across the Middle East and beyond through its leading websites portals social media platforms events conferences award ceremonies magazines books and social media influencers agency. We are one of the largest media companies in the Middle East with a portfolio of more than 80 brands. These brands include major international and regional names such as Time Out Arabian Business Harper s Bazaar GQ and Construction Week.

Time Out Dubai is looking for a brilliant creative and dynamic Editor with multiplatform experience to oversee the creation of its content across digital and print platforms. You must have a demonstrable passion for editorial innovation strong understanding of digital best practice a keen eye for witty creative covers and experience managing and motivating a team in a fastpaced environment. This role is based in ITP Media Group s Media City office in Dubai.

Requirements

Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall production execution and management of Time Out Dubai across digital print video and social products and platforms and dedicated airport monthly Time Out DXB.
  • Manage and motivate an editorial team work with other Editors within the Group to make sure goals and projects are aligned and maintain a strong working relationship with the commercial team.
  • Drive Time Out Dubai to achieve audience growth targets on digital and social platforms.
  • Set content strategy and plan editorial calendar across digital print video audio and social.
  • Edit proof and publish Time Out Dubai s daily digital content ensuring stories are on brand on time and contribute to daily content quotas and audience targets.
  • Manage the team to ensure Time Out is the first to break news of happenings within the brand s remit quickly identifying subjects topics and events that will make compelling content pieces and making sure they re executed in line with our overall brand strategy.
  • Lead the ideation and development of creative front covers across Time Out Dubai s stable of weekly monthly and seasonal print products.
  • Oversee and lead Time Out Dubai s annual Awards processes and seasonal calendar of events.
  • Work with the Head of Content to ensure ALL content reflects overall content / editorial strategy.
  • Determine what medium is best suited for a particular content piece and commission internal and/or external writers producers designers photographers videographers illustrators product managers etc. to make it live on deadline and on budget.
  • Ensure Time Out GCC s editorial standards are met all relevant copyrights have been cleared content is optimised for SEO and content meets local and legal guidelines.
  • Support the Editorial Director and sales team by being an ambassador for Time Out Dubai and Time Out DXB supporting and helping to develop revenuegenerating content strategies and establishing good relationships PRs.
  • Have your finger on the pulse of the local scene; use your professional contacts and socialmedia networks to be the first to identify the next big thing.
  • Undertake reviews and attend events outside of office hours.
  • Embrace Time Out GCC s digitalfirst philosophy. A strong background in digital publishing is essential.

Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of writers, reporters, and contributors to produce high-quality content for digital and print platforms. Develop and execute an effective content strategy that aligns with the brand's objectives and resonates with our target audience. Plan, assign, write, and edit articles, features, and daily online news stories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the brand's editorial standards. Stay updated on industry trends, news, and developments to ensure the brand's content remains timely and relevant. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry experts and partners, to enhance content quality and coverage. Ensure the timely publication of content across various platforms, including the brand's website, social media channels, and print publications. Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. A minimum of five years of editorial experience, prior experience in B2B publishing is preferred. Required Skills: Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills. Strong editorial skills including editing, proofreading, and fact checking. Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Proficient in using editorial software and tools. Strong knowledge of digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and SEO best practices. Paywall experience. Project budget management skills. Desirable Attributes: Passionate about the GCC technology market. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable about the latest trends in the travel industry. Energetic, self-motivated, and results driven. International roaster of travel writers and photographers.
