Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our manufacturing division located in Palatine, Illinois. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory.

Shipping Clerk Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be able to fulfill certain duties and responsibilities. You need to be able to perform efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries. The following is a list of some of the duties:

Ship domestic and international orders daily with UPS, FedEx, DHL and LTL services.

Manage stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items on a regular basis

Create work orders and pull necessary components, issue and deliver to production.

Receive components into the system, label, and put away accordingly.

Keep files up to date of goods shipped and received on a regular basis

Review and correct inventory issues, shipping issues, and customer concerns.

Works closely with purchasing to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.

Must pass drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record review. Must have a valid drivers license.
