Dispatch Coordinator

Job Purpose: Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles for conveyance of materials, freight, or passengers, or for normal installation, service, or emergency repairs rendered outside the place of business. Duties may include Dispatch coordination with other departments, arranging transportation, Assist the packing, Preparing the packing list and Delivery orders, transmit assignments, compiling statistics and Delivery reports Key Accountabilities: 1. Manage the workload of the dispatch department 2. Ensure all goods are appropriately packaged 3. Ensure all products undergo a QA/QC assessment and are rejected where necessary 4. Coordinate deliveries carried out by internal and external transport 5. Ensure all dispatch paperwork is completed and correctly filed Liaise with other departments (i.e. paint shop, Production and Planning) to understand upcoming workload 6. Assist customers by forwarding notice of Material Readiness, shipment date and method 7. Protects organization reputation by keeping pricing, promotion and purchase order, information confidential. 8. Any other duties appropriate to this level of role Knowledge Skills and Experience: Qualifications: College Graduate Experience: 1. 2 - 3 years of experience in execution of projects related to structural steel work. 2. Proven customer service experience 3. Use MS office software 4. Dealing with large stock volumes / large deliveries 5. Demonstrate self-motivation, attention to detail, and strong time management skills 6. Ability to raise issues with quality and inventory
