Design Engineer

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related required
• Relevant vendor Certifications highly desirable (Cisco, Juniper, HPE/Aruba)
  

Experience Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience..
  

Experience with manufacturer design and configuration tools.

Technical Skills & Certifications

• 4+ years of system engineering, design, implementation, and/or support of LAN/WAN networking solutions.
• 4+ years’ experience in operations or sales specific to technology related fields preferred.
• 6+ years working with enterprise networking technologies.
• CCDP/CCNP Professional certification or higher.
• JNCIS/JNCIP Professional certification or higher.
• In-depth knowledge of wireless products including but not limited to:
  • Design and/or implementation
  • Security considerations
  • RF and Infrastructure Surveys
  • Network Assessments
  • OEM Manufactures
• Juniper
• Cisco
• HPe/Aruba Networks
• Ruckus
• Cloud-based consulting and design experience is desirable.
• An understanding of the environment and challenges of IT operations in the typical mid-market corporation.
• SD-WAN and or Security experience is a plus.

• Excellent oral and written English skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and scope.
• Ability to listen to and understand client requirements and individual preferences with successful track record of ability to develop creative and innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to continuously expand and leverage knowledge of technology, market, and industry trends with success in identifying, recommending and implementing best practices and methodologies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to set priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently to meet client needs.
