- Creating and implementing plans for improving dental office efficiency and increasing profits
- Reviewing patient records and identifying risks for dental disease or infection
- Conducting evaluations of new dentists, dental students, and support staff members
- Reviewing dental claims for coverage and making recommendations about treatment plans and coverage limits
- Recommending treatment plans to patients based on their needs and financial situation
- Performing clinical dental procedures such as taking impressions of teeth or gums to make molds of cavities or other defects
