- Title : Data Engineering Manager Location : PST, BC, Canada Onsite Flexibility : % Remote Description : involves managing projects for the Wallets, Payments and Commerce area. The role is in support of data analytics for Payments projects. For both roles, the factors we are looking for are in an EPM are: Required Strong project management skills Strong communication skills Able to handle fast paced and ambiguously defined projects with multiple customers and partners Strong conceptual understanding of data and data analytics - Someone who understands and thinks about data and data analytics. Not the “containers” of data (ie, it moves from here to there), but the data inside the containers. What is the meaning of the data in the datasets?
- How is it transformed? If the data changes, what analytics or metrics would break or would no longer make sense?
- Preferred Familiarity with using a Mac laptop preferred Familiarity with big data technology preferred Apple experience preferred (to enable him her to get up to speed on our tooling set quickly and more independently)
