What does a Senior FP&A Manager at Collinson do?

Reporting to the Group Head of FP&A, the Senior Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is a key role which will be required to drive the preparation and reporting of high-quality management information and bring a commercial perspective to investment decision making across the The role will be responsible for all FP&A tasks including monthly board reporting and projecting managing the annual budget and quarterly re-forecast This role will also manage and lead in the development of a comprehensive management reporting suite based on feedback from key stakeholders and providers of Lastly, this role will be instrumental in supporting the TCG Board in assessing various investment business

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Forward looking and Strategic

This role goes beyond monthly reporting and analysis and will focus not only on the month end results and variance The role will utilise monthly results, identified risks and opportunities, investment plans and other key leading indicators to continuously project forward the short, medium and long term results of the Group and provide valuable forward-looking insight to enhance board The role will partner with Group Strategy on M&A/strategic projects along with maintaining he Group s 3-year strategic financial model (to be prepared to a standard appropriate for sharing with banks, lenders and potential capital investors)

Monthly reporting:

Supported by the Group FP&A Manager, this role will manage and lead on monthly business reporting to the Board and Group Executive management team, delivering accurate and timely decision support and performance monitoring analysis to agreed timing to include insightful analysis and commentary in with respect to;

  • Group, region and divisional financial performance
  • Full year outlook driven through insight gathered through the budget and monthly cycles
  • Overheads and staff costs trends
  • Variance analysis and corrective action plans/suggestions
  • Assessing and bringing light to risks and opportunities
  • Creation and maintenance of Groupwide dashboards and KPIs
  • Post investment approval review and monitoring
  • Detailed balance sheet, cash flow and capital projections and position

Budget/Forecast:

  • Lead on budgeting and forecasting process, including detailed analysis and challenge of submissions to ensure budgets/forecasts are robust and sound
  • Review of submissions to identify key trends, areas of Board focus, risks and opportunities and resulting actions to address,
  • Continuous enhancement the process, tools and templates that provide the Board and key stakeholders robust financial and non-financial information to inform
  • Project manage the process to ensure sufficient conception and analysis of the

Ad Hoc projects and other key responsibilities:

  • Support various commercial initiatives as they arise, providing financial input as required including competitor analysis and research, acquisition target analysis,
  • Investment business case analysis and reporting key findings to the Board
  • Deep dive analysis on risk / opportunity areas identified in support of regional and divisional teams

About you

To be successful in your application, you ll have experience of working within a similar role and have an accountancy qualification (ACCA, AAT, CIMA etc).

This role will require expert communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and interpret financial information to provide insight, alongside being able to interact and engage confidently with stakeholders across multiple

Key skills and experience to be evidenced within your application include:

  • 6-8 years PQE in a similar role, ideally at a complex multinational corporation at the Group level
  • Budgeting tool use, development and ideally implementation experience
  • Management reporting tool use, development and ideally implementation experience
  • Experience of dashboard and KPI development
  • Excellent spreadsheet and modelling skills
  • Strong analysis capability
  • Excellent interpersonal communications, good listener, persuasive manner
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly within Excel
  • Attention to detail, with an analytical mindset
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively
