As a Linux/AOSP Engineer, you will join a small team of Linux/AOSP Experts to support broad activities related to the OS on target devices. Your everyday tasks will require system architecture understanding, the ability to analyse different layers of the OS, problem-solving, re-writing, and re-engineering existing codes as well as providing different modules implementations.
Requirements
- You have expertise with Linux-based OS (including OS architecture, file systems, security).
- Experience with OS build (integration with build systems like Yocto, Buildroot, and OBS or similar).
- AOSP Experience (HAL/Framework/Application layer) and adaptations.
- Experience with hypervisor and containers (lxc/c-groups).
- Excellent debugging skills (minidump, adb, dltviewer, HCI logs analysis etc.)
- BSc/MSc Computer Science, Informatics, or Software Engineering.
- Enthusiasm to work with Linux and the open-source community.
- Experience with SW version control in Git, Gerrit and/or Jenkins.
Soft skills:
- Excellent teamwork capability and communication skills.
- Fluent English.
- Preliminary German language skills.
- Ability to work with remote teams.
- A customer-oriented mindset is a must.
Nice to have:
- Good experience in C/C++ development, including a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design.
- Modification of Linux Kernel modules and BSP, Understanding and implementation of low-level drivers.
- Experience working in CI/CD/CT environment.
- Experience with the agile software development cycle.
- Scripting (Bash, Python, and Shell).
