Civil Engineer

1. Supervising and directing construction projects from start to completion.

2. Review the project in detail to determine deadlines, labor, staffing, and costs.

3. Prepare all material and contracting requests in advance for all materials and contracting related work within the allocated budget and quality.

4. Monitor all construction activities on and off site to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

5. Coordinate and direct construction activities and subcontractors’ performance.

6. Meet contractual terms of performance and establish KPIs for all construction related activities.

7. Review work progress daily and weekly, prepare monthly construction progress report and send daily and weekly report to head office

8. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks,

9. Ensure construction standards and use of sound construction techniques in accordance with project specifications.

10. Review plans for design defects and provide recommendations for improvement.

11. Review the full list of quantities and drawings before commencing site works and highlight any concern/discrepancy noted.

12. Directly monitor the work of supervisors and construction team including controlling site activities and monitoring MEP engineers to ensure they adhere to industry standards and best practices and complete their tasks on time.

13. Coordinate the preparation, review and submission of shop drawings and other submissions for approval.

14. Assess manpower, materials and tools needs and ensure control of on-site working hours for each activity.

15. Prepare and submit approved road and improvement statements before work proceeds to avoid rejection where appropriate.

16. Review technical dispatches, comparison and subcontractor proposal for any technical comments and budget compliance.

17. Submit change and request time extension for all additional work required by consultants/clients.

18. Control the attendance of all site staff, including other support engineers, civil engineering supervisors and MEP

19. Follow up with suppliers/subcontractors to incorporate comments into resubmissions and during work and issue notification letters
