REPORTS TO: Senior Business Development Specialist

ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND :

ACCESS Health International (AHI) is a nonprofit think tank and advisory group with the mission of improving access to highquality and affordable healthcare for all people. AHI advises national and regional governments and the private sector on the design and management of healthcare finance and delivery systems. Established in 2007 the organization is located in India Singapore and Dubai and is headquartered in the USA.

MENAs strategic geopolitical position as a bridge between Europe Asia and Africa necessitates monitoring and responding to global health challenges. With a population of over 500 million diverse in ethnicity culture and language MENA offers a unique research opportunity to address health disparities and promote equity. The region confronts various public health issues from NCDs to infectious diseases and mental health concerns. Additionally the ongoing conflicts and instability in certain subregions demand a local presence for effective response and healthcare access. An office in MENA enables ontheground research advisory service targeted policy recommendations and collaboration with regional health organizations.

JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Executing Business Strategies:
  • Implement effective sales strategies to identify and secure prospective customers.
  • Maintain profiles of prospective customers and evaluate their portfolios.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop volume projections and strategies.
  • Industry Awareness and Development:
  • Work closely with the Senior Business Development Specialist to Identify current market trends and potential new targets.
  • Research markets aligning with core competencies.
  • Identify promising leads and monitor RFP releases.
  • Assist in reviewing RFPs to determine suitability.
  • Sales Activities and Networking:
  • Conduct calls and meetings with prospective clients.
  • Follow up with potential clients to finalize deals.
  • Leverage existing Access network and team.
  • Assist in creating sales presentations.
  • Maintain client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelors degree in healthcare business marketing sales or public administration.

5 years of experience in sales/business development.

Skills and Competencies

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in developing new business.
  • Ability to articulate Access Health Internationals value proposition.
  • Initiative in identifying and qualifying leads.
  • Proficient in managing multiple client buyers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in other languages including Arabic.
  • International or MENA region experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Aptitude for sales to state and UN agencies private and nonprofit guarantors.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Word PowerPoint Excel etc.
  • Strategic thinking ability.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and crossfunctionally.
  • Willingness to relocate to Dubai UAE and travel within the MENA region.
