Masjidullah Early Child Care Academy (MECCA) is an Islamic-based, high-quality, early-learning child care center that is dedicated to preparing young children to excel in kindergarten and the elementary school setting. MECCA partners with families who desire to commit their children to education excellence and Islamic principles.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• six (6) ECE credits or CDA with infant/toddler specialization
• Training and education in an accredited program
• BA or AA, in Early Childhood Education or related field with 30 E.C.E credits.
• One year experience in a licensed child care facility or equivalent student teaching experience.

Responsibilities:

Planning

• Implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities as planned.
• Adhere to a daily schedule that provides a balance of active and quiet activities, individual and group times.
• Assist the lead teacher in monitoring children’s developmental progress through observation records, checklists, and daily reports.

Parent Communication

• Maintain positive, open relations with all families.

• Reinforce daily to parent and child the successes and positive behaviors exhibited.
• Communicate all concerns and provide written documentation of all concerns to the Teacher/Director.

Ethics

• Maintain confidentiality on a strictly need-to-know basis with parents, staff, outside agencies, and the general community.
• Display and model at all times Honesty, Responsibility, Caring, and Respect.
