Job Description

- Responsible for the research, prototyping, development and fabrication of exciting innovative, quality, competitive and performing utility home products, understand terry towels manufacturing process.
- Working knowledge of current product trends/innovations and the competitive marketplace
- Know well about home textile technical vocabularies
- Create market week assortment presentations
- Deep dive into construction and styling of products, fabrics, finishes, fibers, manufacture processes, testing from both in house and 3rd party lab, attention to details
- Create tech pack, design product features, set up test protocols, give designer direction for product rendering
- Communicate with overseas for timelines, initial cost requests, MOQ, product comments, sourcing and engineering.
- Mockup prototype for technique instruction resourcefully and handily
- Flexible work schedule, take or make calls after hours when needed
- Highly organized, maintain sample stock system, comfortable with physical locating, packing and moving boxes
- Request, follow up and distribute samples to internal and external teams.
- Collaborate with merchandisers to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies both domestically and overseas
- Develop relationships with existing and new suppliers, internal cross functional teams, customer buyers and brand representatives.
- Attend trade shows and monitor suppliers on site as needed
