Education and training:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management, or related field. Postgraduate studies in purchasing management would be beneficial.
Experience:
Previous experience in procurement and supply chain management. Experience as an Assistant Purchasing Manager or Buyer is usually at least 3-5 years.
Management skills:
Ability to effectively manage the procurement team, directing and motivating them to achieve goals and provide high quality service.
Knowledge of logistics:
An understanding of supply chain and inventory logistics, including inventory tracking and supplier relationship management.
Knowledge of suppliers:
Ability to evaluate and select suppliers and negotiate with them to obtain competitive offers.
