GENERAL SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, directly engage with and partner with product owners and key stakeholders to efficiently drive value for the LTM Platform and users. Learn and master the systems on the platform, the data models, and BI efforts to support the business, analysts, and developers directly and support automated testing efforts. Enhance and maintain critical system and process documentation, support month-end business efforts, and regularly contribute to increased efficiencies and delivery of high-quality value from the platform systems and testing framework.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Listed in order of time-spent or importance)

Directly partner with key stakeholders and team members to efficiently drive value for the platform systems, BI, and testing efforts via agile methodology. Approximately half of work effort will be dedicated to systems and BI efforts on the platform. Learn, support, and become an expert resource on these points. In turn, support the business month-end processes, BI needs, and system upgrades. The other approximate half of work will be to co-support automation of regression testing efforts on the team. The role will build on the existing framework, expand documented manual regression tests, and partner with business users to expand, create, and continue dedicated efforts accordingly. Assists in evaluation of business requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options. Responds quickly and accurately to questions from business users and IT teams. Assists in performing task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality and service. May work with project teams to support requirements gathering:

Analyzes data, source system data, etc. in support of integration of applications.

Facilitates the identification of business requirements and their definition.

Facilitates and/or develops processes to support improvement or efficiencies in the business function through use of technology.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience (4+ years IT-related experience, such as System, Business, and/or Data Analysis, etc.)

Preferred:

  • LOMA Certification or progress toward completion


Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, ownership, and be accountable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge to stakeholders and team.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
  • Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Ability to contribute, support, collaborate, and enhance the team culture and environment; exhibits pattern of willingness to engage and participate in department/team projects.
  • Ability to foster customer service as needed.
  • Ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions.
  • Basic negotiating and persuasion skills.
  • General business and accounting knowledge.

General business knowledge

Preferred:

  • 5+ years IT-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Data Analysis, etc.
  • 1+ years Life Insurance industry knowledge


Technical Requirements

Required:

  • Excel and Microsoft Office application experience (Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Power BI experience
  • SQL
  • BI and visualization tools such as Visio and Lucid chart
  • Basic experience with agile methodologies
  • Selenium Testing Knowledge
  • TestNG and Gherkin Experience a plus
  • Either Java, C#, Python, JavaScript code knowledge
  • Have demonstrated ability to code a selenium test with any model
  • GitHub and Jenkins experience a plus
