TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic independent firm of chartered accountants in Sittingbourne who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their successful team. You will work in a mixed accounts and tax capacity but you will also have the opportunity to work in audit, or management accounts too, should you wish. The remit of the position, and the portfolio can be built around the candidate, and their aspirations.
You will be responsible for:
- Draft and finalise financial year end accounts using IRIS for a portfolio of LTDs and LLPs
- Undertake financial close procedures for the month end, including inter-company balance reconciliations
- Preparing / reviewing management accounts and month end reconciliations, including commentary
- Preparing / reviewing extended trial balances including the final year end trial balance
- Preparing / revieiwing corporation tax computation calculations and basic tax planning
- Dealing with the preparation and/or reviewing the completion of VAT returns, including EC Sales and Intrastat returns
- Hold client meetings advising them of potential Tax/Accounting implications
- Use cloud accounting tools to process transactions, prepare and post journals, update all ledgers, perform bank reconciliations ready for the monthly reporting process
Requirements
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified or nearly qualified, or qualified by experience
- Have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in a similar practice based role.
