We are looking for an Aircraft Technical Document Writerfor a permanent employment with acutting-edge civil and military aircraft manufacturerbased in Abu Dhabi.
The role of the Aircraft Technical Document Writer will be to analyze, author and illustrate, publish, and overall manage the technical publications linked to the new aircraft in development and its equipment.
Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)
Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM)
Trouble Shooting Manual (TSM)
Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
Structural Repair Manual (SRM)
Aircraft Recovery Manual (ARM)
We expect the Aircraft Technical Document Writer to prepare the publication of technical data using the principal standards of the aeronautic domain.
Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings is key
Review all systems and technical drawings to create procedural manuals for each component, system, interior configuration etc.,
Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical personnel
Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards
Coordinate with the production team to access the aircraft in order to validate the written procedural steps prior to aircraft close-up
Create simple illustrations to support manuals
Take digital photographs for reference and incorporating into projects as required
Quality check the hard copy and electronic files of the documents to ensure all requirements are met prior to submitting documents to external in-process review and final delivery
Maintain configuration control of files for historical purposes
The candidate must have a strong experience in Aircraft Technical Documentation acquired across several aeronautics programs involving leading aircraft manufacturers.
