ITP Media Group (ITP) is one of the largest media companies in the Middle East with a portfolio of more than 80 brands. The company delivers quality up to date content to its readers viewers delegates and guests through digital print events awards video content social media platforms and social media influencers. These brands include major international and regional names such as Time Out Arabian Business Harper s Bazaar GQ and Construction Week.

Time Out are looking for a dynamic Advertising Director to join its revenue generating team where they will pitch plan and deliver marketleading campaigns for its commercial partners. You should have robust experience working with teams launching products and selling media solutions in addition to an established network of contacts across the region excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a passion for selling unique executions. This role is clientfacing across the region.

Requirements

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a sales team across 4 cities and 3 countries.
  • Driving & managing monthly revenue across Time Out Dubai and other GCC territories
  • Responsible for pitching innovative executions for a wide variety of different clients.
  • Exceed revenue targets via professional highquality pitching and presenting both in response to briefs provided by clients and by proactively developing and pitching new concepts to potential brand partners.
  • Drive brandnew revenue across both brands by establishing relationships with new partners and clients.
  • Manage a client list and work closely with PR and media agencies building and maintaining strong relationships in the industry.
  • Create monthly and seasonal offers and products to increase and diversify opportunities for brand and commercial partners identifying potential for events and activations.
  • Create highquality presentations that bring each pitch to life during the sales process and flawless postcampaign reports.
  • Think beyond the group working with the Group Commercial Director to identify partners and brands from ITP Media Group s stable for companywide amplification of campaigns.
  • Work with the Commercial Director to ensure client briefs are exceeded and the editorial director to ensure ALL executions reflects overall content / editorial standards and strategy.
  • Have your finger on the pulse of the local scene using professional contacts and social media networks to identify the next big thing in the market.

  • Education: Must be educated to degree level or equivalent industry qualification with at least five years experience selling both to agencies and direct to clients.
  • Essential: Proficient in MS PowerPoint Excel.
  • Is excited by the challenge of lastminute adhoc projects in addition to daily output.
  • Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A strong industry reputation. (desired)

Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of writers, reporters, and contributors to produce high-quality content for digital and print platforms. Develop and execute an effective content strategy that aligns with the brand's objectives and resonates with our target audience. Plan, assign, write, and edit articles, features, and daily online news stories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the brand's editorial standards. Stay updated on industry trends, news, and developments to ensure the brand's content remains timely and relevant. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry experts and partners, to enhance content quality and coverage. Ensure the timely publication of content across various platforms, including the brand's website, social media channels, and print publications. Monitor and analyse content performance metrics to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. A minimum of five years of editorial experience, prior experience in B2B publishing is preferred. Required Skills: Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills. Strong editorial skills including editing, proofreading, and fact checking. Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Proficient in using editorial software and tools. Strong knowledge of digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and SEO best practices. Paywall experience. Project budget management skills. Desirable Attributes: Passionate about the GCC technology market. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable about the latest trends in the travel industry. Energetic, self-motivated, and results driven. International roaster of travel writers and photographers.
