Advanced nursing care teacher

• Monitoring and managing critically ill cardiac patients, including performing regular assessments and evaluating changes in condition.
  
• Administering medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
• Responding to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest and rapid response codes, and providing advanced life support as needed.
  
• Assisting with invasive procedures, such as intubation and central line placement.
  
• Maintaining accurate patient records, including documenting treatments, medications, and other critical information.
  
• Communicating with family members and keeping them informed of their loved ones progress and providing emotional support.
  
• Participating in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and new developments in cardiac care.
  

Requirements

• NY Registered Nurse License
  
• AHA BLS and ACLS
  
• At least 2 years of previous Cardiac ICU experience
  
• IV certification ~preferred
