As an Accountant in the Joinery/Fit Out/Contracting industry, your role is essential in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations, and Standards. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining up to date and accrual financials statements and reports. Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash, and bank entries.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, taking into consideration the unique financial demands of the Joinery/Fit Out/Contracting industry.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring they comply with industry and UAE accounting standards.
  • Tax Compliance: Stay up to date with UAE tax laws and regulations as they relate to the construction and contracting industry. Ensure all tax obligations are met.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and analyze project costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control measures are in place.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage financial relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the industry, ensuring timely payments and adherence to contracts.
  • Financial Audits: Assist in the preparation and coordination of financial audits, liaising with external auditors as required.
  • Financial Software and Tools: Utilize accounting software and financial tools to streamline and automate financial processes.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with local regulatory authorities and industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insights and analysis on financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement and optimization.
