Experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with five (5) or more years experience to work in Pre-Admitting for the surgical services department of the hospital.
Duties include but not limited to:
1. Interviewing patients via telephone prior to surgery, obtaining history
2. Scheduling preadmitting testing
3. Obtaining labs and radiology reports
4. Communicating with physician offices
Requirements
Certified Medical Assistant credentialed by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Registered Medical Assistant credentialed by the American Medical Technologists (AMT). (5) or more years successful CMA or RMA experience. Ability to multi-task, work with numerous interruptions and willingness to assess and change priorities.

Must have excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, work within a team environment, meet productivity standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant program
- Five (5) or more years as Medical Assistant
HIGHLY PREFERRED:
- Five (5) or more years experience in a hospital setting or a clinic involving duties mentioned in job description
- Current BLS certification
Certified Medical Assistant credentialed by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Registered Medical Assistant credentialed by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
