JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assessing the risk in hotel work environment to minimizing associates illness and injury during work hour. Inspecting hazardous factor in the work environment quality of equipment or facility that used by associates. Lead the organization toward a healthy and safe work environment by advising monitoring and reporting in the workplace and engaging staff in programs that ensure safe practices in the workplace.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelors degree in food technology. Microbiology Biotechnology.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent; understanding of OSHAD/ADOSH practitioner/entity requirements.
  • Internal auditor qualifications in ISO 9001/22000/ Lead Auditor - 45001 preferred.
  • 58 years of combined EHS and Quality/Brand leadership in luxury 5star hospitality.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with DCT Abu Dhabi inspections and compliance as well as ADOSH.
  • Proven experience in ADAFSA EFST HACCP and food safety systems.
  • Technical Associate Membership in IOSH
  • Strong track record with Marriott Brand Standards and BSA preparation
  • Familiarity with DCT classification criteria and audit methodology.
  • Ability to run internal quality brand safety and hygiene audits ends.
  • leadership presence with crossdepartmental influence.
  • High attention to detail in documentation compliance and reporting.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities especially in rootcause investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills for handling regulators auditors and brand assessors.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Health and Safety in Operations

Inspect or evaluate workplace environments equipment or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.

Inspect work environments to ensure safety in workplace.

Conducts hazard and risk assessments at the property to include quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits incident tracking and the hazard abatement process.

Submit Workplace Risk Assessment Report and Workplace Occupational Health and Safety workbook.

Propose the Workbook to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee every 6 months.

Complete and submit required biannual Occupational Health and safety reports to Labor Protection and Welfare Office.

Suspension of activities that pose threats to workers health or safety.

Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods processes or materials.

Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.

Advise management regarding health or safety issues.

Investigate the adequacy of ventilation exhaust equipment lighting or other conditions that could affect employee health comfort or performance.

Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.

Collect and analyze data as well as provide reports and suggestions on hazards illness and distress occur during all employees work hours.

Conduct tests of facilities for environmental hazards.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment.

Consult with others regarding safe or healthy equipment or facilities.

Maintain or update emergency response plans or procedures.

Develop emergency procedures with other departments.

Collaborate with engineers or physicians/Nurse to institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.

Develop or maintain hygiene standard in workplace

Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment safety equipment or first-aid supplies.

Build the Health and Safety Awareness for employees

Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.

Conduct health or safety training programs for all employees at least once in a year as mandated by law.

Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.

Prepare healthcare training materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain update and audit the full OSHMS per OSHAD/ADOSH requirements.
  • Ensure OSHAD entity/practitioner requirements and administrative mechanisms are
  • Translate 5star DCT classification criteria into SOPs checklists and compliance audits.
  • Lead hazard identification & risk assessments (HIRA) across all guest and staff areas covering PPE First Aid Legionella manual handling heat stress workplace wellness and job safety analysis.
  • Manage emergency preparedness including fire life safety systems drills evacuations and business continuity planning.
  • Oversee contractor safety permittowork and isolation controls.
  • Lead all incident investigations rootcause analyses corrective actions and statutory notifications for guests associates and third party incident and reporting to DCT.
  • Verify implementation of HACCP including critical control points (receiving storage prep cooking cooling hot/cold holding allergen control.
  • Maintain full EFST certification coverage for food handlers.
  • Execute ADAFSA (Abu Dhabi Agriculture and food safety Authority) selfinspections documentation and regulatory followups as well as GFSA (Global Food Safety Audit) compliance.
  • Lead propertywide Brand Standards Assessment (BSA) readiness with mock audits documentation service coaching and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure DCT readiness through routine inspections evidence management and timely closure of findings.
  • Coordinate thirdparty audits (ISO 9001/22000/45001 where applicable insurance risk surveys) and embed outcomes into QMS.
  • Deliver OSHAD CoPaligned training (First Aid & medical emergency manual handling heat stress signage ergonomics workplace violence).
  • Conduct Marriott brand standards and service excellence training aligned with BSA categories.
  • Integrate guest feedback (GSS/ITR/NPS) into quality improvement and servicerecovery programs.
  • Maintain a central document hub for OSH HACCP EFST SOPs risk assessments permits logs Green Key /Sustainability and all regulatory evidence.
  • Run an integrated audit calendar covering DCT OSHAD ADAFSA brand audits and thirdparty inspections.
  • Zero highrisk noncompliances in DCT inspections; 100% closure of audit findings.
  • OSHAD/ADOSH internal compliance score 90% with annual review of all applicable Codes of Practice.
  • EFST coverage 95%; HACCP CCP compliance %; positive ADAFSA inspection trends
  • BSA score meets/exceeds brand targets with YoY improvement in core categories.
  • Improved GSS/ITR/NPS reduced complaints and service recoveries closed within 72 hours.
  • 100% completion of all mandatory OSH EFST and brand standard training.
  • Working closely with Engineering Housekeeping and Purchasing for Annual Maintenance Contract Management.

Additional Responsibilities

Analyzes information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Maintain inventories of hazardous materials or hazardous wastes using waste tracking systems to verify that materials are handled properly.

Maintain inventory of medical supplies or equipment.

Develop or maintain medical monitoring programs for employees.

Develops and maintains a working relationship with local law enforcement authorities.

Informs and/or updates the executives and peers on relevant information in a timely manner.

Provides information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone in written form e-mail or in person.

Perform other work safety tasks as assigned by the management.
