Logistics Manager Trucking / Transport Company
Location: UAE

Job Purpose
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing daily transport operations fleet utilization driver coordination route planning and client delivery performance to ensure efficient and cost-effective trucking services across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Fleet Operations
- Manage day-to-day trucking operations across UAE routes
- Coordinate dispatch schedules for drivers and vehicles
- Monitor fleet utilization and optimize vehicle allocation
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery across client locations warehouses and ports
Driver Management
- Supervise drivers attendance trip planning and productivity
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and UAE transport regulations
- Coordinate driver rotations leave planning and performance monitoring
Route Planning & Cost Optimization
- Plan delivery routes to improve turnaround time and reduce fuel costs
- Monitor trip performance and reduce idle time
- Improve vehicle utilization rates and delivery efficiency
Client Coordination
- Act as the operational point of contact for transport clients
- Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met
- Resolve delivery delays and operational issues quickly
Port & Documentation Handling
- Oversee cargo movement from ports (e.g. Jebel Ali KIZAD if applicable)
- Ensure proper handling of delivery notes gate passes trip sheets and transport documentation
- Coordinate with customs clearing agents when required
Fleet Maintenance Coordination
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with workshop teams for repairs
- Ensure vehicle compliance and roadworthiness
Reporting & KPIs
- Track logistics KPIs such as:
- fleet utilization rate
- delivery turnaround time
- trip completion rate
- fuel consumption efficiency
- Prepare operational performance reports for management
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain or Business Administration
- 58 years experience in trucking / transport operations in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE transport routes and industrial zones
- Experience managing drivers and dispatch teams
- Experience handling multi-vehicle fleet operations
Technical Skills
- Fleet management systems or transport scheduling software
- Strong Excel reporting skills
- Knowledge of GPS tracking platforms
- Understanding of UAE road transport compliance standards
Preferred (Strong Advantage)
- Experience managing container transport / trailer fleet
- Exposure to port logistics (Jebel Ali operations)
- Experience handling 3PL transport contracts
