Job Description Summary
The Monitoring & Diagnostics EMEA Pole Engineering team is looking for a requisition project manager for M&D product and service deployments. These projects include primarily accountability for new M&D equipment installations at existing GE customer sites in the Power Services business.Job Description
What youll do;
Ensure kick-off with project team or part of larger project team at business level. All project mechanisms and aspects are initiated
Ensure all team members are accountable for their tasks to the collective schedule and scope
Order parts per the Basis of Design (BOD) Bill of Material and get them to customer site with help of Project Coordinator
Support implementation of agreed solution at customer site as defined by BOD.
Provide record keeping and local logistics support for GE assets and equipment configuration information. This includes costs are allocated to proper billing accounts
Track schedule/ deliverable completion. Complete all workflows with highest quality content and complete handoff checklist. Standard templates
What youll bring;
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field of study
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills; verbal written communication skills
Strong presentation skills knowing when to use more technical detail and when to summarize
Ability to work with fellow engineers as well as corporate or senior leadership at customer
Solid analytical competencies ability to troubleshoot quickly and on-the-fly especially at customer locations
Strong oral and written communication skills in English language
What will make you stand out;
PMP/ PgMP certification is preffered
Fluency in Arabic or other languages is an advantage
Previous experience in power service industries or energy related industries
Previous experience on customer management ideally leading projects or as a project manager
Experienced with MS Visio (RE) Excel Outlook Word and PowerPoint
Experience working in an independent and highly matrixed environment coordinating across multiple sites functions and time zones with simultaneous projects.
Takes initiative and quickly raises issues for help
Strong bias for action; mechanically minded; high energy.
Demonstrated high organizational skills enjoys structured transactional process-oriented work
