Role Overview:
Orbit ISS is seeking a Senior QC Inspector (Welding) responsible for inspecting and ensuring that all welding activities comply with approved WPS project specifications and applicable international codes. The role provides technical support to site teams and ensures high standards of welding quality across fabrication and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect welding activities and verify compliance with WPS PQR and welder qualifications
- Monitor fit-up joint preparation welding parameters and PWHT
- Coordinate and review NDT activities (RT UT MT PT)
- Review weld maps inspection reports and as-built documentation
- Manage NCRs corrective actions and re-inspection
- Interface with production subcontractors and client inspectors
- Ensure compliance with quality and HSE requirements
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Welding Engineering
- CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI certification (mandatory)
- 8 years of welding inspection experience in oil & gas / fabrication projects
- Knowledge of ASME AWS API standards
- NDT Level II certification preferred
