Job Summary

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the scale growth and profitability of a fashion retail e-commerce business. The Head of E-Commerce will develop and execute strategies to increase Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) by leveraging marketplace optimization advanced analytics strategic pricing fulfillment excellence and digital advertising revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute aggressive growth strategies to increase GMV and market share.

  • Identify and prioritize growth levers including market expansion product diversification pricing optimization catalog enhancement and promotional strategies.

  • Position the brand as a leading digital retail platform in the region.

Customer Acquisition & Retention

  • Design and implement customer acquisition strategies across digital marketing channels.

  • Enhance customer retention through personalized experiences loyalty programs and superior service delivery.

  • Drive initiatives that convert first-time purchasers into loyal repeat customers.

Product & Market Portfolio Expansion

  • Lead initiatives to expand product assortments and enter new market categories.

  • Pursue regional and international market opportunities.

  • Collaborate with merchandising and supply chain teams to ensure product availability aligns with demand.

Marketplace Ecosystem Management

  • Drive seller onboarding processes with defined quality standards.

  • Monitor and optimize seller performance metrics addressing underperformance proactively.

  • Develop programs to reduce seller attrition and enhance marketplace engagement.

  • Lead account management teams in optimizing seller contributions to achieve growth objectives.

Data-Driven Strategy Development

  • Collaborate with analytics teams to leverage data insights and performance metrics.

  • Translate insights into actionable growth initiatives including targeted campaigns dynamic pricing and product optimizations.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making.

Technology Platform Optimization

  • Partner with technology teams to enhance customer-facing digital products and marketplace infrastructure.

  • Ensure effective utilization of technological platforms to optimize marketplace performance.

  • Lead innovation initiatives in product design and platform features to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead high-performing teams across digital marketing e-commerce operations and seller management.

  • Foster a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing IT finance and supply chain.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Align strategies and initiatives with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

  • Engage with external partners and vendors to enhance platform capabilities and drive growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15 years in e-commerce growth leadership roles with a proven track record of scaling operations and increasing GMV.

  • Demonstrated success in marketplace management seller ecosystems and performance optimization.

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business Marketing or a related discipline preferred.
