Job Summary

Install and repair electrical wires apparatus and fixtures in guest rooms public areas and back-of-house facilities. This includes everything from basic wiring to complex systems like fire alarms and elevators.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all electrical systems to ensure they are in good working order and comply with hotel standards and local codes.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize disruption to hotel operations and ensure guest and staff safety.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies such as power outages and assist with emergency power systems like generators.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance repairs and inspections.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent is the minimum with technical diplomas or trade school completion preferred.
Proven experience as an electrician with a preference for those who have worked in commercial or hospitality environments. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is often preferred.

Strong understanding of various hotel electrical systems including lighting HVAC controls fire alarms security systems and power distribution.
Familiarity with local electrical codes safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and fix electrical issues.
Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected electrical issues.
Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other departments and staff.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends to minimize disruption to guests.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting standing for long periods climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for safety and accuracy.
