A Commis I affects every Guest experience through food production and food presentation at our restaurant room service banquets and in-hotel cafes.
What will I be doing
The Pastry Commis 1 is responsible for assisting in the daily preparation and production of pastries desserts and baked goods under the supervision of the Pastry Chef. This role requires strong attention to detail a willingness to learn and the ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures precisely. The ideal candidate has a passion for pastry and a desire to grow within the culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing a variety of pastries desserts breads and other baked goods.
Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items in accordance with hygiene standards.
Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an attractive manner according to company standards.
Support senior pastry chefs in advanced preparations and event orders.
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Minimize waste and maintain stock rotation (FIFO).
Assist in receiving and checking deliveries as needed.
Work collaboratively with the entire kitchen andserviceteam.
