You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Modern Foreign Languages Teacher is responsible for planning delivering and assessing engaging language lessons that help students develop proficiency and confidence in one or more foreign languages. The teacher will foster cultural awareness and inspire a passion for language learning in a supportive classroom environment.
Plan and deliver effective lessons in specify language(s) e.g. French Spanish German Mandarin aligned with the schools curriculum and educational standards.
Develop students reading writing listening and speaking skills through varied instructional strategies and activities.
Prepare teaching materials resources and assessments tailored to different learning styles and abilities.
Monitor and assess students progress through homework exams and projects providing timely and constructive feedback.
Promote cultural understanding and appreciation through immersive learning experiences and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive inclusive and respectful learning environment.
Communicate regularly with parents guardians and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.
Participate in department meetings training sessions parent evenings and school events.
Stay up to date with developments in language teaching methodologies and integrate new technologies and resources as appropriate.
Contribute to the broader life of the school community and support school policies and ethos.
Bachelors degree in Modern Foreign Languages Education or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Proficiency and fluency in the target language(s).
Prior teaching experience in a school setting is preferred.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication interpersonal and motivational skills.
Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
Enthusiasm for promoting languages and cultural exchange.
