You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Server Administrator to maintain upgrade and manage our servers and network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in server management system architecture security best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.
Install configure and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis; upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Perform system backups and recovery.
Manage Active Directory DNS DHCP Group Policy and other server roles.
Maintain system security through access controls firewalls and antivirus.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to servers.
Document system configurations processes and procedures.
Collaborate with network administrators and security teams to ensure high availability and secure infrastructure.
Provide technical support and guidance to end users and junior IT staff.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3 years of experience as a Server Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server Linux).
Experience with virtualization (VMware Hyper-V).
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and strategies.
Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell Bash etc.).
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server CompTIA Server Red Hat Certified System Administrator).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios Zabbix SolarWinds).
Knowledge of ITIL practices and ticketing systems.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
