Job Description
Sealine Engineer (Senior)
The Sealine Engineer executes the design calculaons and prepares the deliverables for the client
relevant to Subsea Pipeline Design.
Main Tasks
Act as Project Specialist Leader (PSL) or Project Specialist (PS) for Subsea Pipeline Design
Perform all discipline analyses technical report specificaons and drawings required to design
the pipelines system and relevant components.
Verify subcontracted engineering.
Prepare technical specificaons and requision for material and services purchasing.
Oversee the bid evaluaon and procurements phases.
Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentaon and contribute to updang Company
standards.
Review Clients technical documentaon and requirements.
Prepare technical qualificaons and contribute for the definion of the technical proposal while
bidding for EPCI contracts.
Contribute to update and improve the department tools for Sealine Engineering.
Contribute to maintain the excellence in Sealine Engineering.
Contribute to the definion implementaon and improvement of the department quality
system.
Contribute to the standardizaon and definion of procedures for the department working
process.
Technical background and skills
Mechanical Engineer Civil Engineer Ocean Engineer
Senior profile 8 years if possible)
Experience in Offshore O&G and Subsea Design
Consolidated experience in Subsea Pipeline Design including the disciplines listed below:
Mandatory Disciplines (the candidate shall be familiar with at least 3 of them)
1 Pipeline Mechanical (Wall Thickness) Sizing
2 OnBoom Stability Analysis (OBS)
3 OnBoom Roughness Analysis (OBR)
4 FreeSpan Analysis
5 Expansion Analysis
6 Subsea Intervenon Works
7 Pipeline Crossing
8 Material TakeOff (MTO) and Material Requision (MR) Preparaon
9 Spool and Riser Design
Oponal Disciplines (one or more will represent a plus in candidate evaluaon)
10 OnShore Approach Design
11 InService Buckling and Pipeline Walking Analysis
12 Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Capabilies
13 Advanced Analysis (Dynamic Impact Failure Mechanisms)
14 Flange Design
Experienced in coordinaon of a small team of engineers and designers
Knowledge of the following soware (also similar are allowed):
Main Soware (knowledge is highly recommended)
1 DNV Soware (OSF101 FatFree StableLines)
2 PRCI AGA
3 PILSS
4 Orcaflex
5 Autopipe
Oponal (knowledge is not mandatory)
6 Matlab
7 Mathcad
8 CAD Soware (AutoCAD BricsCAD Microstaon)
9 ABAQUS
10 Ansys
11 Python
