• Ensure that all accounting transactions are reported and recorded accurately in compliance with regulations
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis periodically and subsequently provide recommendations to management to capitalise on financial or economic objectives
• Prepare financial statements on an annual basis in accordance with IFRS standards
• Implement robust cash management controls
• Assess financial data and formulate strategic plans to lead organisational objectives
• Prepare a 5 year business plan and gauge actual results
• Identify and evaluate business opportunities to maximise returns on capital investments
• Proactively cooperate with the General Manager and Executive committee and serve as a business advisor and risk advocate
• Train the hotel Finance team to augment their financial skills. Subsequently, develop individual KPIs to ensure that they strive towards their long-term development
• Liaise with both internal and external auditors to ensure that the organisation adheres to all financial policies and legislations
• Formulate best practices to streamline business activities and foster a continuous development environment
