Job Description


About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Manager to join Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Ensure that the relevant support to a day’s transactions are complete and have been verified for the Finance Manager’s Finance’s approval.
  • Assist the Financial Accountant in all stages leading to the preparation of all monthly financial reporting and analysis.
  • Assists in compiling budgets and forecasts and to aid Heads of Departments by providing historical data or support details.
  • Set guidelines and deadline dates for each employee’s monthly work in order to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure that an organized, up-to date filing system is maintained for all pertinent financial records.
  • Handle all problems of the accounting office with the exception of those which have to be referred to the Director of Finance/Finance Manager
  • Manage the duties and responsibilities of the accounting employees and supervise the preparation of all monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Organize the accounting office in conjunction with the Finance Manager Finance.
  • Distribute work to employees on an equitable basis.
  • Schedule and introduce flexible job functions through job rotation.
  • Ensure that all employees do understand fully and adhere to the property’s employee rules and regulations, as well as to the property’s policies relating to fire, safety and health.



About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance & Accounting / Commerce / Mathematics / Economics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Finance & Accounting administration processes and policies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with various departments and stakeholders within a luxury 5-star hotel environment.
