• Promote the insurance agency to customers who need insurance
• Network with potential customers
• Educate customers on each type of insurance coverage and make recommendations based on their needs
• Evaluate current insurance policies and recommend additional coverage when needed
• Maintain all insurance documents in a confidential way
Skills
Requirements
• Proven working experience as an Insurance Agent or relevant experience
• Familiarity with all types of insurance plans (Motors , fire, life, property, Marine, medical etc)
• Strong sales skills to meet sales goals, increase your customer base and cross-sell related insurance packages
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Analytical skills and the ability to quickly add, subtract, divide and multiply percentages
• Patience and persistence; Insurance Agents may need to wait until potential customers are ready to renew their package or until their insurance needs to be changed
• Positive attitude, empathy and enthusiasm
• Strong computer skills and ability to use various software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, insurance quoting software and customer relationship management software
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving sales objectives
• Experience quoting multiple lines of insurance
