A Spa Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and enjoyable experience of guests at a spa facility. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting with various tasks that enhance the spa experience. Below are the primary responsibilities and key skills for a Spa Attendant:

Customer Service
- Greeting guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
- Explaining spa facilities, services, and amenities to guests.
- Assisting guests with special requests or questions, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization
- Ensuring that the spa areas (locker rooms, saunas, steam rooms, treatment areas, and relaxation lounges) are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Sanitizing spa equipment, furniture, and surfaces frequently to meet health and safety standards.
- Tidying up towels, robes, and slippers, ensuring they are clean and available for guests.

Monitoring and Restocking Supplies
- Keeping track of spa amenities like toiletries, towels, robes, water, and refreshments.
- Restocking and replenishing items as necessary to ensure everything is available for guests.

Assisting with Spa Treatments
- Helping prepare treatment rooms before and after services (e.g., setting up the room with towels, oils, or supplies).
- Assisting guests in choosing appropriate services or packages based on their needs.
- Ensuring guests are comfortable and at ease before, during, and after treatments.

Maintaining Relaxation Areas
- Ensuring the relaxation lounge, saunas, and hot tubs are inviting, clean, and operational.
- Monitoring guest behavior in communal spaces to ensure a peaceful, relaxing environment.

Checking-In and Scheduling Appointments
- Greeting guests at check-in and providing them with necessary information about their appointments or packages.
- Assisting in booking or rescheduling appointments, coordinating with therapists or other spa staff.

Safety and Health Protocols
- Following safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests.
- Reporting any accidents, hazards, or maintenance issues to management immediately.
- Monitoring and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and safely.

Assisting with Payment and Sales
- Helping guests with the payment process after their visit, including explaining services, treatments, and pricing.
Desired candidate profile
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist in the operation of all spa departments and to have knowledge of all Spa treatments
- Maintain linen inventory to and from laundry on a scheduled basis
- Direct Members and Guests to appointments and assist them with the use of sauna, steam, whirlpool etc
- Prepare rooms for treatments according to specified guidelines
- Maintain the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times and report any equipment deficiencies
- Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner and ensure all amenities are stocked
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous Spa or Hospitality experience preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
