Roles and responsibilities
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. You will assist in the creation of compelling visuals and designs that align with our brand and engage our audience. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing graphics for digital and print media, including social media posts, website banners, brochures, and advertisements.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop creative concepts and campaigns.
- Support the senior design team in executing branding projects, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Prepare and optimize graphics for use across various platforms and formats.
- Revise and refine designs based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new ideas into projects.
- Maintain and organize design assets, templates, and files.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Basic understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design principles.
- A creative portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Knowledge of motion graphics or video editing is a plus.

Design Creation:
- Assist in creating design concepts, layouts, and visual elements for print and digital media.
- Work on various design projects, including brochures, flyers, social media posts, banners, websites, advertisements, logos, and more.
- Ensure that designs are aligned with the client’s or brand's guidelines and objectives.

Branding and Identity:
- Assist in developing and maintaining brand guidelines for clients or organizations, ensuring that all designs are consistent with the brand's identity.
- Create or modify logos, business cards, letterheads, and other branding materials.

Collaboration with Senior Designers:
- Work closely with senior graphic designers to receive feedback and improve design drafts.
- Take direction and make revisions based on feedback to refine designs and meet client expectations.

Preparing Files for Production:
- Prepare final design files for both digital and print production, ensuring all file formats and sizes are correct for production requirements.
- Ensure designs are compatible with printing specifications (e.g., resolution, color mode, bleed settings, etc.).

Research and Inspiration:
- Research design trends, competitor designs, and new tools to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the graphic design field.
- Gather inspiration from other creatives, resources, or design platforms like Behance, Dribbble, or Pinterest.

Photo Editing and Retouching:
- Edit and manipulate images for design purposes, ensuring the final visual quality is high and suitable for the project.
- Retouch images as needed, removing backgrounds or enhancing the quality of photos to fit the design.

Presentation of Designs:
- Present design concepts to clients or internal stakeholders, providing rationale for design choices.
- Make adjustments based on client feedback or internal reviews before finalizing designs.
