Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

The Sales Assistant is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience, and for a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team.

What you will do:

Store Safety

  • Creates a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.

Excellent Customer Service

  • Creates a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to the dress code .
  • Greets customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting .
  • Provides customers with current relevant information about the product.
  • Sincerely thank all customers for shopping as they exit the store and invite them back.

Quality

  • Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers promptly, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to the sale .

Administrative

  • Provides efficient service at the cash wrap, offers gift cards, maintains cash wrap cleanliness, and captures customer information in the database.

Required Skills

Required Skills to be successful

  • Extensive experience in Sales, Marketing and Operations and working in the retail/ brand management industry specifically in Fashion.
  • Sound in-depth knowledge of the market, brand positioning and trends.
  • An understanding of the current economic situation impacts of potential threats and competitors.

Minimum Qualification and Knowledge:

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 2 Years Of Retail Sales Experience.

Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Some heavy lifting
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Strong Customer Service

Desired candidate profile

  • Customer Service:

    • Greet customers warmly and offer assistance with their shopping needs.
    • Answer product-related questions, help customers locate items, and make product recommendations based on their preferences.
    • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Sales Support:

    • Assist with sales transactions by processing purchases at the cash register or point of sale (POS).
    • Suggest additional products or promotions to customers (upselling or cross-selling).
    • Meet sales targets by actively promoting products and services to customers.
  • Stock Management:

    • Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked with the right products.
    • Help with restocking inventory, receiving new shipments, and organizing products for easy access.
    • Monitor stock levels and report any low stock or out-of-stock items to the supervisor.
  • Visual Merchandising:

    • Help maintain visually appealing product displays and store layouts to attract customers.
    • Follow guidelines for product placement, signage, and seasonal promotions to ensure the store is organized and visually appealing.
  • Product Knowledge:

    • Stay informed about the products and services offered in the store, including their features, benefits, and uses.
    • Provide customers with detailed information about products and services, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Cash Handling:

    • Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
    • Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with store policies.
  • Cleanliness and Store Maintenance:

    • Ensure the store is clean and tidy at all times, including shelves, aisles, fitting rooms, and common areas.
    • Assist in keeping the store organized and ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work alongside other sales assistants, supervisors, and store managers to meet sales goals.
    • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and store events.
