Principal Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

• Experienced in applying sustainable certifications systems (LEED, ESTIDAMA, MOSTADAM, Ceequal, Envision, or equivalent) on mega-developments and projects, particularly in the Middle East. Has managed and delivered at least 3 projects.
• Provides innovative solutions to design team (water, energy, transport, etc) to support in meeting ambitious sustainability visions and targets of our clients
• Is familiar with the local regulatory requirements (UAE /KSA) particularly in relation to sustainability (Dubai Municipality requirements, SGBC101, Abu Dhabi Environment Agency, NCEC, etc.)
• Has experience in providing general sustainability and ESG advisory services
• Understands the multi-disciplinary nature of the work and participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Can provide technical input into bids and develop detailed delivery methodologies and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Manages project deliverables and scope within budget
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Prepares and performs quality control review of sustainability reports and associated deliverables including calculations, drawings, sketches, as necessary to the work.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Embodied carbon calculations and GHG accounting knowledge is a plus
• 5 to 8 years of experience.
• Candidate must be able to provide technical input, advise and support the sustainability team on various project deliverables

  Qualifications
• BS in environmental sciences, environmental engineering or related field
• MS in similar fields is a plus
• LEED AP, or Estidama PCRS PQP, or Mostadam AP, or equivalent
