Job Description
We are seeking a professional and responsible Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Heavy Vehicle Driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the region.
- Operate heavy vehicles such as trucks trailers or semitrailers to transport goods to designated locations
- Adhere to all traffic laws safety regulations and company policies while on the road
- Plan and optimize routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours deliveries and any incidents or delays
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when necessary
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers customers and other team members
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Adapt to various weather conditions and maintain safe driving practices at all times
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and the public
Qualifications :
- Valid heavy vehicle driving license required
- Minimum of 23 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and regulations particularly in the UAE
- Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to transportation laws
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Physical ability to assist with loading and unloading when required
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends if needed
- Familiarity with Dubais road network and traffic patterns preferred
- Additional certifications such as Hazardous Materials endorsement are a plus
- Ability to work in various weather conditions typical of Dubai
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
