The Testing and Commissioning Engineer will oversee the precommissioning commissioning and startup of mechanical electrical and instrumentation systems for oil and gas facilities. This role involves working on complex offshore and onshore projects ensuring all systems operate as designed while adhering to ADNOC standards safety regulations and international codes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute and manage the commissioning and startup of oil gas and LNG processing equipment.
- Perform system functionality tests interlock verification and equipment performance evaluation (e.g. pumps compressors turbines heat exchangers valves etc.).
- Ensure all systems are handed over in a fully operational state with minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement commissioning procedures schedules and detailed testing plans in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with design construction and operations teams to identify and resolve commissioningrelated issues.
- Supervise vendor representatives and subcontractors during testing and commissioning activities.
- Adhere to ADNOCs stringent Health Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines and protocols during all activities.
- Conduct and review risk assessments ensuring compliance with regulatory and sitespecific standards.
- Ensure proper safety training and certifications are in place for all team members involved.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning reports including punch lists asbuilt drawings and testing data.
- Provide clear handover documentation to the operations team including manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate records of modifications deviations and lessons learned.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues during commissioning and startup phases.
- Provide technical expertise during equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Support operational staff with training and guidance on system functionality and safety.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in testing and commissioning within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of working on offshore/onshore oil and gas facilities including LNG plants pipelines and utility systems.
- Experience in ADNOC or Middle East projects is preferred
