Duties & Responsibilities:
Zoo educators are responsible for teaching visitors about the animals kept at the zoo and promoting conservation efforts.
Duties
Public Awareness about conservation Eco systems and Animal Welfare to promote conservation efforts and to enhance flora and fauna protection. This exchange of information can be conducted formally (in lectures and guided tours) or informally (answering questions)
Engage with school and visitors by providing information about Emirates Park Zoo and its collection of animals.
Present live animal shows and education demonstrations (insitu programs) for the schools and visitors.
Interact with veterinarians nutritionists Trainers zoo keepers and other zoo staff to keep up to date with the latest happenings at the zoo and its animals.
Contributing and conducting exsitu Educational presentations and exhibitions to increase public awareness/public knowledge and interesting about flora and fauna by opening floor for them to be a link to conserve animals. (That may involve bringing and handling live animals.)
Preparing educational materials for presentations. These items may include posters brochures banners workbooks and other handouts.
Handle guest concerns and resolve problems in a manner that is polite helpful and accurate
Answer questions provide accurate information and interaction with visitors in a manner that is welcoming and encourages repeat visits.
Engage with Volunteers and Interns of EPZ to achieve Zoo goals.
If needed involved with producing videos taking photos and creating multimedia presentations used to promote the zoo and its programs.
Educate people to give correct foods for Animals to keep them healthy and also conducting Educators Talk about Animals and Conservation to interact with the guests.(This involves Engaging with staff stations in Petting zoo area Monkey area Giraffe area Animal Paradise and Domestic area)
Provide experiences for visitors to enable them to make choices about their impact upon the Environment. (Both positive and negative).
If needed help with any emergency incidents relevant to Animals and People.
Education Qualifications and training
Bachelor s degrees in Natural Sciences education communications zoology biology animal science or a related field.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to adapt to audiences of different ages and learning abilities.

5. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
6. Able to work a flexible/changing schedule and daily assigned responsibilities. Some evening weekend holiday work may be required.
7. No allergic conditions to animals.
