Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

As an Industry Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing an industry-specific portfolio of advertising clients, ensuring revenue growth. Your key focus will be on enhancing relationships with key planners, buyers, and senior leads within the media agencies, creating opportunities for our long-term existing clients, whilst winning new advertisers for both dubizzle and Bayut.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and successfully execute a comprehensive sales plan to meet or exceed growth and revenue goals for your industry;
  • Identify opportunities in the market by creating and targeting a list of key potential clients, matching our products to the client's needs;
  • Understand the media agency landscape and who the decision makers are, building strong reasoning for why they should advertise on dubizzle/Bayut.;
  • Drive high levels of sales activity to build a strong pipeline and portfolio of clients across all stages of the sales cycle (source, pitch, negotiate, convert, onboard and rebook);
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge on both the dubizzle and Bayut advertising products but also market trends, becoming a market expert in your field;
  • Consistently deliver for your advertisers by creating well-structured and thorough media plans/proposal slides which fit the client's needs;
  • Actively manage each campaign, improve performance where possible and analyse performance, guiding the client on the next steps;
  • Provide solid weekly/monthly revenue forecasts to management which are accurate



Requirements

  • Marketing or Advertising related higher qualifications preferred
  • Minimum 4 years in an advertising sales position, with 2 years in online media;
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in real estate;
  • Experience in Salesforce/Google Ad Manager is a plus
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising preferred (SEM, PPC, Banner ads, Programmatic advertising)
  • Proficient in Microsft PowerPoint & Excel, Google Slides &sheets needed;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Driven individual who will go above and beyond.
  • A high level of sales activity is expected so a high work rate is needed

. Sales Strategy Development and Execution

  • Industry-Specific Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the specific needs of the industry or vertical you are managing (e.g., healthcare, finance, technology, manufacturing).
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand the unique trends, challenges, and opportunities within the industry. Stay updated on industry regulations, innovations, and emerging trends.
  • Target Setting: Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives while considering the specific dynamics of the industry.

2. Team Management and Leadership

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to help team members achieve their targets.
  • Sales Coaching: Mentor and coach sales representatives, helping them navigate challenges, improve their sales skills, and grow in their careers.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Hire and onboard new sales professionals who are well-suited to the industry and company culture, ensuring they are properly trained in industry-specific sales strategies and tools.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Key Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients within the industry. Work closely with these clients to understand their needs, propose tailored solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiations and Contracts: Lead high-stakes negotiations with large accounts, ensuring favorable terms and building long-term relationships.
  • Customer Retention: Work on strategies for customer retention, ensuring that clients continue to use the company’s products or services. This could involve cross-selling, upselling, or renewing contracts.

4. Sales Pipeline and Forecasting

  • Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts based on industry trends, historical performance, and the current pipeline of leads.
  • Lead Generation: Oversee lead generation efforts specific to the industry, ensuring that the sales team has a consistent flow of qualified leads.
  • CRM Management: Ensure that all sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities are properly tracked in the company’s CRM system, maintaining up-to-date records for reporting and analysis.

5. Collaboration Across Teams

  • Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to develop industry-targeted campaigns, content, and messaging. Ensure that the sales team has the right materials to convert leads into customers.
  • Product Feedback: Provide valuable feedback to the product development team regarding customer pain points, feature requests, and industry-specific needs to help guide product improvements.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments like customer service, finance, and operations to ensure a smooth experience for customers and align on sales initiatives.

6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Sales Metrics: Monitor and track sales performance through various metrics (e.g., revenue growth, lead conversion rate, client satisfaction). Regularly assess the performance of the sales team and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Reporting to Senior Management: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting sales performance, market insights, and any issues or opportunities in the industry.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the sales budget for the industry vertical, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet sales goals.
