Review and implement project environmental studies namely HSIEA, CEMP, PER, EIA, etc. in coordination with Client and external agent(s} liaison officer, in lieu of, or synonymously with the Senior Environmental Engineer and Project management team.
Support the Environmental officer(s) and Project Manager in adherence to Environment Management Plans.
Report to Environmental Superintendent on all project environmental issues.
Coordinate with External agents ( ex. third-party laboratories, consultants, engineering firms, etc.) to obtain deliverables in a timely and practical manner.
Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in the utilization of key environmental equipment and application of such resources.
Demonstrate leadership qualities and abilities to work cohesively with subordinates and peers, including, but not limited to, fieldwork, reporting, training/ awareness programs development.
Strict adherence and familiarization with CEMP specifications, mitigation control plans, Project strategies, management plans, waste segregation and management, carbon footprint / emissions calculation, federal and local standards and regulations.
Design and implement project environment management plans in line with client requirement, environment studies recommendations and in cooperation with project management.
Act as HSE engineer, in terms of familiarization of health and safety guidelines I policies and compliancy at all times during longevity of the Project.
Demonstrate the ability to develop and oversee Project activities, particularly in relation to environmental aspects and demonstrate utmost proficiency in compiling accurate technical reports and letters.
Prepare necessary 'environment management' related submittals for tenders and proposals in line with client requirements and NMDC EMS.
Review and follow up with local authorities on environmental permits.
Conduct internal management system audits and subcontractors' audits on compliance with the applicable standards.
Conduct Environment aspect/impact assessment for activities.
Perform incident and accident investigations and report findings back to environmental Supt.
Review and monitor Environmental Officer's performance in projects.
Verify that established procedures are followed and that all necessary corrective actions concerning nonconformities and deficiencies are being carried out to completion.
Report the performance details of the Implemented HSEMS to the top management at periodic intervals and during the Management Review meetings.
Maintain utmost professionalism and demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills.
Must be willingness to participate in Project activities (both onshore and offshore), when deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Science, or equivalent
General HSE certificate in NEBOSH / IOSH is preferable
Minimum 03 years' experience in a similar role and industry

Reporting and Documentation: Preparing detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, or clients.
