Job Description: Assistant Sales Manager Automotive Dealership
Position Overview
The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Head of Mobility in overseeing daily sales operations driving team performance and achieving dealership targets. This role bridges the gap between sales consultants and management ensuring the team operates efficiently and delivers excellent customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations Support
- Assist the Head of Mobility in implementing sales strategies and meeting dealership goals.
- Monitor daily sales activities and ensure adherence to established processes.
- Support the team in achieving individual and group sales targets.
Team Supervision
- Supervise and guide sales consultants providing coaching and performance feedback.
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members.
- Act as a point of escalation for sales team queries or customer issues.
Customer Relationship Management
- Engage with customers to ensure a high standard of service and satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Build strong relationships with repeat customers and maintain a database of potential leads.
Inventory and Pricing Assistance
- Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure vehicles are available for customer demands.
- Assist in reviewing pricing strategies and recommending adjustments for promotions or competitive positioning.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Track individual and team sales performance providing reports to the Head of Mobility.
- Monitor KPIs such as closing ratios customer followups and sales conversions.
- Support in creating sales forecasts and budgets.
Marketing and Promotion
- Coordinate with the marketing team to implement campaigns and promotions.
- Promote dealership events and sales initiatives within the community.
- Assist in analyzing the impact of marketing efforts on sales performance.
Compliance and Procedures
- Ensure that all sales processes comply with dealership policies and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities contracts and customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in automotive sales with a minimum of 2 years in a similar or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of the automotive market including trends and customer preferences.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and dealership management software.
- Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
